Spring 2019 Calendar Connections

What a year! We are only 4 months in to 2019 and have already experienced so much community collaboration, change-making, and stratgey planning with thoughtful colleagues and partners.

January- March were the exciting community-led Africa to Carolina listening sessions hosted by the African American Heritage Commission examining North Carolina disembarkation sites of enslaved Africans transported during the Transatlantic Slave Trade. We are also excited by the ongoing collaboration with Look at Art, Get Paid, an exciting initiative with the potential to
change how we experience art as an intervention strategy for marginalized communities.

March- April we relaunched the second cohort of Roots to Raices, a co-facilitated dialogic training experience for Black and Brown community members seeking to better understand each other’s history and futures.
