Diversity is variety.
We encounter each other through the lens of our diverse experiences as we move through the world. This fall, Facilitate Movement will be be exploring diversity from many perspectives including race, age, gender, sexual orientation, religion, (dis)ability, class, and education. Get ready to explore the intersection of these elements of diversity and learn how they impact the way we live, work, and play. I have intentionally dedicated my Fall 2018 to providing lots of opportunities for not only dialogue, but also ACTION!

In museum, school, and conference spaces we can often feel silenced by an unwillingness to grapple with the challenges of diversity in social settings. Unfortunately this can have a disastrous effects on our ability to effectively create change. On Oct. 21st we will be in Tacoma, Washington with a small group of museum leaders to address this very issue, hosting a deep dive facilitated workshop for Empathetic Museum: Beyond Playing Nice.
Facilitate Movement is partnering with some truly dynamic organizations locally and nationally as a step towards answering our call to move from awareness to action.
Ready to join us? Let’s go!
